Accounting Manager

Key Tasks
 Prepare financial reports
 Lead annual operating plan development and profit estimate (forecast) process
 Coordinate efforts with the business owners to provide transparency to actual vs budget and
assist with incorporating respective variables into the forecast process
 Work with the team to build user friendly BI reports that provide timely, actionable information
 Provide ad hoc analysis
 Manage any attestation and tax activities
 Ensure all corporate filings are completed accurately and timely
 Investor Relations – ad hoc tasks to maintain investor information on 3 rd party platform
 Risk management – property and casualty insurance
 Ensure GL integrity
 Perform and manage all month-end and year-end close tasks
Treasury Management
 Prepare cash and inventory forecast
 Coordinate efforts with the team to understand drivers and plan accordingly; shepherd the
S&OP process
 Manage bank relationship, if applicable, including disseminating any requisite reports,
borrowing base, and covenant compliance certificates
 Ensure accuracy & completeness of AP
 Route domestic invoices for approval and voucher into ERP system
 Ensure timely payment and communication therein
 Monitor D&B score
 Manage AR function
 Potentially perform AR duties
 Process payroll
 Manage HR function including benefit administration

Required Skills & Attributes
 Ability to solely perform the accounting and finance function
 Complete understanding of the accounting cycle with experience managing the entire month-
end/year-end process
 Robust understanding and ability to produce financial reporting and ad hoc analysis to provide
transparency & clarity to the organization regarding performance
 Experience with e-comm and big box retailers
 Demonstrated ability to both perform tasks and manage the accounting process ensuring
adequate controls are in place and GL integrity is achieved
 Effective written and verbal communication
 Proven analytical, critical thinking skills
 Detail-oriented
 Ability to work independently, action-oriented
 Change agent with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in an environment with
constantly shifting priorities
