Essential Traits for Success:
- Perform general labor and clean-up as requested, or as needed.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain warm air systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, etc.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, measuring devices, etc.
- Inspect heating & cooling systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, aerial lifts, drills, and hand tools.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain HVAC systems, piping, or other related equipment.
- Pull pipe or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed or open areas, large tools, and be very comfortable working with your hands.
- Receive and properly store job site materials for effective job site coordination.
Heating / Cooling Journeyperson’s Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to consistently follow written processes and procedures.
- Excellent mathematical skills are preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to stand, lift, maneuver weights that may exceed 50lbs.
- Strong verbal communication skills
Education, Licensing & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active CT Limited Warm Air, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Journeyperson (D2) License
- Current OSHA 10 Certification is preferred.
- Active Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
