Chief Marketing Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and driving our  client’s marketing strategy and will lead all aspects of marketing including demand generation, brand marketing, marketing technology and operations, digital media, and education. The function has a strong foundation in place, and moving forward, this person will continue to grow and develop the team. The Chief Marketing Officer will be passionate about crafting the messaging, positioning, and communications to make their DTC product the number one choice in personalized health and wellness. The CMO will be obsessed with metrics and will ensure the team is able to maximize the value from their marketing investments. The CMO will lead the team to deliver exceptional results through modernized marketing practices and customer engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Set the strategic plan for marketing, sales and content to grow existing business
  • Serve as the lead for our business development team to develop and onboard new brands and thought leaders that align with our culture
  • Drive digital marketing and master data-driven decision-making capability at individual and team levels
  • Attract, onboard, and develop top-tier talent
  • Lead company's marketing capabilities across the US: brand marketing, public relations, social media and performance marketing, marketing analytics and marketing operations
  • Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies
  • Drive department innovation within desired KPI's
  • Research competitors to stay current with similar products or services on the market.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with the C-Suite to make high-level decisions regarding the budget and the direction of the company
  • Create and maintain a successful brand and image that attracts consumers and brand thought leaders
  • Manage marketing plans and strategies for new and existing products
  • Develop and cultivate talent, engage and coach employees, and foster an organizational culture that aligns employee and team performance with strategic goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate a passion for the firm's mission, vision and values Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional experience in marketing, sales, or strategy planning roles
  • 7+ years of managerial experience with responsibility for a group of brands and for a team of 20+ employees
  • Experience in DTC is an absolute necessity
  • Experience growing revenue from 25-75M
  • Deep experience in ecommerce environments
  • Innovative and creative
  • Ability to lead groups and inspire team members
  • Work collaboratively with C-suite to accept and incorporate ideas into strategies
  • Proven track record of recognizing trends and staying ahead of them
